Sorry, I know this is a bit of rant, but I do feel kind of justified, as I have been with Vegas since its conception and paid every year for upgrades, with the hope that the audio side will be addressed.:
I got tired of the VST plugin scan happening every time I start Vegas. It starts at about 75% and seems to mainly be due to UADx plug-ins.
- So I went into prefs and unchecked all the UADx plug-ins.
- But they still get scanned on every start, even though they are unselected. (And in some other operations they get scanned again too, I have mentioned this in another post).
- I tried creating a specific (VEGAS VST3) folder and Symlinked only the plugins I want to use. Looks good but... Many of the plugins just don't show up or even work properly when this method is used.
Another issue is the delay / latency compensation just does not seem accurate. When adding plug-ins to a dialogue track, audio becomes out of sync, (including when it is rendered).
Please can someone on the Audio Department of Magix have a look at this. It is very frustrating.
My only option at the moment is to export dialogue and process it in Wavelab or Nuendo etc.
All of these issues make the workflow very painful.
Cheers,
P
