Morph Transitions, are there any programs out there for VV5

Are there any programs that are out there to do morphs via VV5, or does somone have to do something like Morpheus program? it's only 29.95 but if I could spend. $0.00 that would be cheaper. (obviously), However the demo is very short on it but it does seem to be pretty decent.

Sure: Wax - it does warping, morphing and a very lot more - and it's for free. Take a look at www.debugmode.com/wax/

Not recognising the morph transition in VV5, I installed the patch where I think it needs to go, but it's kinda vauge when it says Plug-ins folder as there are a few in the VV5 program folder.

Any suggestions???

The default plugin folder would be: C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas 5.0\Video Plug-Ins

Do you have both Wax and WinMorph installed?

yea, but for some reason when I go to use the transition general morph, it says some message and then has a button for me to open the program seperately.

BTW: Works great, but is there a way to have the edges always stay the same without putting a box around the whole image? (when doing still pictures that is?)

There is some way about using Morph. Be sure to read the manual about this app because what you see may be normal. You have to clear memory or something like that...

And there is a forum at Debugmode where you can directly ask Satish about these apps and he is usually quick in responding.
Be ready to make a few "Print Screens" to send him; this is usually the best way for him to actually "see" what's happening on your comp'.

For the edges to stay the same, I think you can create Sets every number of frames you want so in theory, the edges (I assume you are relating to bezier curves) are supposed to remain still if between two sets separated by 20 frames you haven't made any movement.

Also, like Marco said, do you have *both* winMorph and Wax installed? this is important to know because if my rememberance is good, you have to uninstall WinMorph prior to installling Wax (which *includes* WinMorph)... if my rememberance is good, that is. I guess I read that in an earlier post a few time ago...

nop, that is not correct. Wax and Winmorph are two different packages and two separate downloads/installs. But Winmorph comes with an older version of Wax to assist in video morphing which is installed but need not be used since you have a newer version of Wax now available.

About the actual transition error posted by the original poster, it would be easier if you contact me by email/debugmode forum with a couple of screenshots as FuTz said, so that i can find what's going wrong. Thanks

well there's another possiblity, right now I'm using the trial mode of VV5, does that not allow it or something?
satish wrote on 6/4/2004, 2:08 PM
that would not interfere with the plugins i believe.

Also it is confusing because you mentioned "BTW: Works great,..." in your post. Does that mean you have the morph transition working fine?

If it is not working yet, please give teh sequence of operations you are trying.. say, you add 2 events to the timeline and overlap them, drag the wax transition and drop on it (or use the winmorph transition)... and so on.

Thanks

No I mean that the actual program works great on it's own.

Ok I will
