Motion at the event level.. am I missing something

When compiling a group of 50 or so stills, I would like them to fade in from different areas of the screen. I use the 'pan/crop' for individual events regularly and use 'track motion' at the track level as well.

Is there a way to achieve the same 'track motion results' from with individual events. I have got to be missing something here, but have tried many searches and tests and just can't find a solution.

Thank you for your help!!!

You may have answered your own question. Most of the things that one would use track motion for at the track level can be done at the event level using Pan / Crop.

To move an individual event from one area of the screen to another, open its Pan / Crop window, drag the borders of the cropping area out in order to increase the screen area -- this makes the image itself smaller. Then you can move the crop area around to reposition the image. Just keep in mind that you're "moving" the screen on which the image sits, not the image itself. So up is down, and left is right. ;)

Does that help or have I completely misunderstood what you want?

1.Make lower tracks with your events "child"
2.Use parent track motion on the parent one to move them

Hope this help

There is no such thing as "Event Motion", per se.

Yes we can make an Event appear to have some form of motion by using the P/C tool. But this is not Event Motion. At best it is showing an event getting smaller and larger within a Frame. And as you quite correctly say Track Motion isn't the same. Once upon a time we DID have Event motion (Was that back at V4? SoFo days?).

Then only thing I can suggest is exactly what you have come up with.
