motion menus that don't link to video

Here is what I would like to do, if anyone can tell me if this is possible on DVDA. On the main menu page, I want to put 3 objects as animated thumbnails (motion) on top of a static background picture. Below them, I want to put several text only links that will link to selected scenes in the video. The problem is I want only the texts to link back to the main video. In other words, I want the 3 motion menu objects to be "dead links", and not link or reference the main video at all. Is it possible to have the motion menus not selectable and hence not link to any part of the video?

Sure, make your links "text only" for the actual links. Then right-click and choose "Insert Graphic" 3 times selecting the clips you want animated.

Wow, thanks a lot, jetdv, you have helped me out a lot, I appreciate it! One tidbit of info, though, which you probably already know, but if you click on "Insert Graphic" from the menu up top, it will always link to the video you have selected. The only way to put the video in and have it NOT link (in other words, be non-selectable from the menu), is to right-click, as you say, and choose "Insert Graphic". A very subtle, but hugely important difference. This is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks!
