I want to record Multiple tracks into Sony Vegas4 with a MOTU 2408-MKIII Multichannel Interface (which says its compatible), but my Sony VAIO PCV RZ30GN2 computer will not recognize the drivers. Is there something I need to switch on or off or adjust or what?
I don't have this product, but just happened to be reading this on another forum recently:
"I had problems installing the drivers for Motu's PCI-424 card . Unusually you have to run a Setup.exe file before installing it, as Windows apparently doesn't perform a full install via plug and play (for instance, Win 98 at one stage declared it to be a 'PCI Early non-VGA Device'). I did this under Win XP, opting to install the ASIO, WDM-MME, and GSIF drivers, but subsequently had to power down and up a couple of times before the card was correctly recognised, and then had to power the 24I/O connected to the card down and up as well before this was detected."
So basically, stick with it. Make sure you've downloaded the latest drivers and follow the installation instructions & notes to the letter.
