Mouse Right Click is very slow when using Vegas

My Genius wireless mouse is very slow only when I right click on the timeline or when I right click n drag from project media. Everywhere else in Vegas is fine.

Normal windows operation is normal.

Can anyone help me here?

Vegas would have no effect on how your mouse works.

I'd go to the Genius site and make sure I had the latest driver for my mouse.

I'd be curious to know the relative time it takes to change the focus to the track where you right-click on the timeline compared to the time it takes Vegas to present the context sensitive right-click menu.

Do you have a lot of system background activity going on like Windows automatic updates? A lot of maintenance went out in the last couple of days.

It takes 3 seconds before the menu comes up. There is no other app running beside anti-virus. Also disconnected from internet. Task manager show no major activity. I'll check for a later driver.
