.mov files are still not importing into my project!

i have Vegas Movie Studio 17. i’ve reset vegas movie studio countless times. i’ve reinstalled the quicktime plugin from apple countless times. i’ve done lots of research to import .mov files and still nothing! i used to have it working when i first installed movie studio, but now i can’t seem to have it working anymore. please help. i rendered a .mov project in vegas, and i can’t even open/import it to my project. any help would be really much appreciated.

Are you using Movie Studio or Movie Studio Platinum and which build number?

Go to the post about 11 down from David-Powley and download his mov file and see if it opens in VMS for you.

Quicktime got broken in the last VMS updates so some mov files that need QT no longer work. Some however do and others that can open with other plug-ins work. It is only my old mov files that are jpeg video that aren't working. Hopefully Magix Vegas will fix what they broke.
