.MOV import - video not coming in (VMS8)

Hi! First post. I've just started using Vegas Movie Studio, so please forgive any ignorance I may display! :) I'm using version 8.

If I import a .MOV file, created using my Konica stills camera, the audio imports OK but the video comes out as just a blank red rectangle. The .MOVs look fine when played with Quicktime. Is this a known problem or am I missing something?

Never mind. It looks like a bug, but an intermittent one. Most of the time it works, a few times it does the red thing until I close down and restart VMS.
