MOV video clips fuzzy

TwistofGin wrote on 12/4/2008, 5:03 PM
I imported some AVI files (Using VMS 6.0) I only had audio, so I converted them to MOV files build and edited entire movie and all my MOV files are fuzzy and pixelated. I researched and found disable resample, tried that same issue. Any help would be wonderful, I just don't have time to build this thing over. Thanks in advance to all the masterminds.

What kind of AVI file is that? And the pixalation is probably because you converted to MOV with the wrong resolution/bitrate.

the avi were windows video files from Youtube. So I redid them to Apple quick time file (MOV). clips were (320X240) Is there anyway to fix my issue?I've read almost all your input on the forum and you seem to be able to come up with "a way"!!

Sorry, but this is not the information I need. Youtube uses FLV files, not AVI. And "Windows video files" is not the name of the codec I am looking for.

Anyways, you first need to find out the original resolution of your files, and then export via quicktime at the same resolution, but with more bitrate than you did before to avoid pixelation. And don't forget that every time you re-encode a video file, you lose quality anyway.
