Move clip - then ripple

I know this can be done, but just can't remember the correct key to press.

Now I DON'T want the "F" ripple where everything after the move ripples.

What I'm looking for is (let's say) -
Grab clip twenty.
Move it left to between clip 12 and 13.
Automatically (by pressing or holding some key) open the hole between 12 and 13 and have the whole mess neatly close up so the new order is 11, 12, 20, 13, 14.

Does this make sense?
I've done it a grillion times and now just can't remember what key I hold during the drag to automatically move the rest of the timeline.

thanks,
v

Right-click clip 20,. and with the mouse button held down, drag it between 12 and 13. When you release the mouse a menu appears - select "Shuffle Events". And the magic will be done!

It's one of those amazingly well-considered features that make Vegas a joy to use.

When I try editing in Premiere I'm always left feeling frustrated by the way the features are so clumsily implemented.

And 'shuffle' is something I use a lot.
