Movie Expansion Pack Vol. 1 BCC Units Verification Link Error

HyperionZ wrote on 8/8/2022, 8:54 PM

So as I was trying to activate the Boris Continuum Complete Units, it had sent me an email with a verification link to activate the product add-ons into Vegas. However as I go to click the link, the website it brings me to just states the message as "error", I tried to activate it again in order to get a different link but it just keeps sending me into the same broken page regardless. Any ideas that can fix this issue?

Currently I've removed the email and tried to activate it again in the BorisFX site through Vegas email order but I can't get it to activate it any longer as it keeps telling me that there was an error with registering my license, and whenever I check my account, the license isn't there either.\

I found out what I had to do, some were units which were separate from the plug-ins in VEGAS, I'm still missing the image restoration pack but most of it I've got so I have pretty much all I need. I still have to get the full continuum pack which only Boris gives on their site since I need some of the effects they have for VEGAS.

I was having a hard time because I thought that the downloads were different and the keys had been deactivated without me doing anything but most should be good now.

Glad that you have things almostΒ done.

Image Restoration in the version you have, I am not sure if the BCC+ is in there or not. I can't remember. I have Continuum Complete 2022.5, so that is what is included in Image Restoration.

Yea I wish the Boris team would be more active, been waiting for like 3 days for them to get back to me which doesn't seem right. I am planning to get the continuum complete since it's what it has the stuff I need for my videos. For now however, this suffices.

Boris is in the States, and are not present on weekends. Sometimes, it takes more than a few days for them to respond, but they do. A lot of their "manpower" is devoted to development.

Black Friday in November is the best time to purchase Continuum Complete. Then you no longer have to worry about whether if you buy a later version of Boris and it has a different revision of Units, that it will remove your older, but still useful, Units. That's why I went with Continuum Complete.

But right now, with VP20, there is an issue with the FX Browser not displaying the playback of your video. Boris and Vegas are aware and are working on it.

Yep, I'm waiting for Black Friday to come so I can buy a lot of stuff. Planning to spend a fortune during that day haha. Good thing Boris FX does take care of their software and plug-ins. Although I would consider for them to keep at least like 5-10 employees of theirs to take care of customer support while the rest focus on building their software even better.

@HyperionZΒ  ... with BorisFX Black Friday sales, their past years' offers have been limited to 50% off (I think it was) on one of the selected offered bundles - or 25% off one single product only per customer. In other words, you would get 25% off BCC but there would be no reduction on another product like Mocha Pro or Sapphire (unless both products are part of a bundle that BorisFX has on offer).

What the BorisFX Black Friday offer's are this year - assuming that there will be any - well, we'll have to wait until November to find out.

Thank you @ReyfoxΒ for mentioning that. It triggered me to recollect this FAQ on BorisFX's website -

https://borisfx.com/knowledgebase/vegas-pro-faq/

Q. I love the Boris FX Continuum Units plugins for VEGAS Pro 19! Can I upgrade to the full suite?

Yes! VEGAS Pro 19 owners can upgrade to the full suite of Continuum plugins at the discounted price of $395.00. Please contact sales for more information.

$395 USD is so much better than 25% off $695 USD. And that still leaves open a Black Friday purchase in November assuming that a BF offer will be made.
