Hi guys, im new to Sony Vegas and im loving it. Ive made my movie and after i save it to my hard drive, it plays back choppy. This is with video and audio. Is there something im not doing properly? It plays nicely in the editor and other movies play good on my computer.Any advice for me?

EDIT.Ok,i tried saving it under 'render as' instead of 'make movie'and it works perfectly.but if i wanted the make movie option, why wouldnt that work?

What format, file type, and codec did you use when you "made movie" ?

AVI is a container, not a format.

Smooth playback depends on a variety of variables, including disk speed, CPU horsepower, etc. Uncompressed video in an AVI file (for example) is usually so demanding in terms of disk speed, that few computers will play it back smoothly. DV AVI being compressed requires less in disk, but more in CPU to decompress.
