I rendered a 3+ minute video the other day and others over the past year without any problems . Yesterday, two projects a bit over 10 minutes long stopped at 85% or more rendering with an "unidentified error". I've tried numerous changes but nothing works. I prefer to render as avi -- . I didn't render separately (twice) for my 3 minute project and it is fine though it was not avi format. I've rendered larger files than this in the past. I'm not sure where the error file is.
I've tried prerendering but it also stalls before it reaches the end (at a different point, however). Although I get the error message, the avi file is saved and is okay up to the point where it stops--maybe i should put in a bunch of 'junk' at the end and just delete it from the avi file and then put it all back together for final rendering....but this shouldn't happen ... I've released all my memory for the project and there really isn't much 'unused' files in the projects to be deleted. I mean it's not a huge file! I've built 30 minute and more files in the past with a much older version.
Any ideas?
Windows 7 64bit professional; Sony Vaio i7 quad-core laptop 4gb memory. 106 gb available space on hard drive...more when I delete all the crashed files.
Thanks.
