Movie Studio 11 Rendering Problem with Rack Focus

Hello Everyone,
I have recently purchased Video Effects II from New Blue to go with my Movie Studio 11. I was excited to use popular effects such as Rack Focus and some chroma key effects but I was not excited when I tried to render videos and they came out with black flashes throughout the videos. I tried rendering a variety of different types of video and they all came out with the same black flashes throughout the videos. But, when I take the effects off all the clips and render, the video comes out perfectly. It seems as if my video card or processor can't handle the effects and skips over some frames, which leaves the black flashes in the video. Any help?
If you have any questions let me know--such as posting a video that shows the flashes? Otherwise any help is greatly appreciated!

Here are my current specs:
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-77X-UD3H
CPU: i7-3770K
GPU: GT 630
16 GB Ram
32 GB SSD
1 TB HDD
Hyper 212 Evo Cooler
All in an Antec p280 case

Thanks!!

Do the flashes happen if you don't use any keyframing on the effect?

Have you checked that you are using the most up to date version of the VE2 effects?

No the flashes don't happen when I don't use the Video Effects II package. The package was all up-to-date too. Do you think it is a matter of my computer not being able to handle the effects? Or do you think it's my software? (also, I'm on the most updated version of Vegas Movie 11)

Are you using any keyframing in the effect (setting up a time dependence for any of the parameters?)? Or are you just setting up your blurred area for the whole clip?

Try turning GPU off.

I am not using any keyframing any of the effects, just putting basic effects on the full clips.

And there's no option to turn GPU off. Unless I'm missing something?

Are you clicking 'make movie' or are you using Project>Render as dialog box. If the latter, find the template that you are rendering to. In some templates (such as Sony AVC or Mainconcept AVC (for mp4 files), there is a setting that allows you to deselect GPU-rendering.

I use Project>Render as and I don't see an option for disabling GPU. I went through all of the video templates. I don't have the Platinum version, maybe that's why?

What format are you rendering to?

My preferred template is the Sony AVC/MVC either 720-30p or 1080-60p
