Howdy,
Just started using MS12. I just have one video and audio track about 20 minutes long. My mic is plugged directly into the camera, so I only get one channel of audio. I had been using Adobe Premiere Elements 9, and in that package I use the Audio Effect 'Fill Left' to fill in the other channel. In MS12 I didn't know about the Channels/Combine option, but now I do. However, before I figured that out, I tried to use SoundForge to fill out the other track. But it errored during saving, and when I opened the file back in MS12 the audio and video were slightly out of sync. Of course, SoundForge is a destructive edit, so the original file is gone too. I fixed the sync by shortening the video a little and dragging to the left, and both tracks turned pink (showing out of sync I guess).
Now I can't seem to sync them. If I render or make a movie the tracks are out of sync. I tried Synchronizing by Moving and by Slipping on both tracks, but no luck. I've got them synced in MS12 for the playback, but not when I render. I know it's probably something real simple, but I'd like some help if somebody has it. I really like the Sony package better than the older Adobe one, but I'll have to go back if it's going to be this out of whack. Or just that I'm not as out of whack on the older package!
Thanks
Bruce
