Movie Studio 12 - Time stretch causes crash

Hello all, I'm working on a video project in Vegas Movie Studio 12 (latest build 1184 installed).

I have found when I use time-stretching on a clip (Hold control + drag the end of the clip), it causes Movie Studio to crash when I play back the timeline and the playback gets to the time stretched clip. I can playback any other part of the movie...it's just when I gets to the time stretched clip, then I get a crash...and It's 100% repeatable. If I use the same clip without time stretching, then all is good - no crashing.

This is making editing a real pain in the butt at the moment. Any thoughts/suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Any effects added to the event?

Have you tried adjusting the Preview window properties?

I believe 12 takes advantage of GPU acceleration. Have you tried turning acceleration off? Speaking of GPU, which one and what firmware version?

Thanks for the reply, it turns out my monitor refresh rate was the issue. it normally runs at 144 Hz, but setting it to 60 Hz, everything works great now.

Also speaking of GPU acceleration, by default it was turned off. Turning it on (I've got a GTX780 with the latest nVidia drivers) I was able to keep my monitor refresh at 144 Hz and still have no problems with the time stretched clip.

All is OK now. I hope this helps anyone else if they run into the same trouble. :)
