Movie Studio 13 Plat not runningafter MB upgrade

So I got a new motherboard and managed to keep the same install of windows.

All my other programs are working.

Vegas 13 runs for a second (I can see it in task man) and then quits.. I have an upgrade from 8.0. 8.0 runs, I just reactivated it and it runs fine.

I tried to uninstall Vegas 13 but it doesn't show in the list of installed programs so I can't uninstall. The files are all there. If I try to install Vegas 13 again, it says it's already installed and I need to uninstall (but I can't because it's not listed) ARG!

Can anyone help me restore Vegas to working condition after my motherboard upgrade?

Thanks!

What version of Windows? 13 requires Win 7 or 8.

I am not 100% certain, but I think 13 uses your MB serial number as a key. I'd call support and use the install selection to get help on reinstalling.

OK. You may have read this somewhere, but a new MB frequently requires different drivers. Keeping the same Windows build and changing out the MB is a recipe for problems. If everything else works, great. If not, it may be difficult.

My suggestion. Get a registry cleaner (beware what you change!) and delete your references to Vegas. No guarantees though. The goal is to vlean up the Vegas registry items, then do a new install.

Before doing that, you can also try a clean install as per the KB to see if that works.
