Movie Studio 15.0 Platinum (Build 146) keeps crashing

Movie Studio 15 Platinum is crashing constantly because it can't seem to handle my iPhone videos. I love the render speed, I love the user interface, but the constant crashing is driving me nuts. I bought a new laptop just so I could install and use this program. I'm looking into other editing programs, but I don't want to change because I've been using MS for years.

I showed my son my laptop and he said it should be powerful enough to work with iPhone HD videos. I'm not using 4K.

What exactly are you doing when VMS crashes?

If you search the forum you will find several threads on problems with iPhone videos.

Thank you. Do you think if I convert my iPhone files to mp4 files it’ll work better and keep the same resolution?

A frequent suggested solution is to convert with Handbrake to mp4. Vegas normally has no problems with Handbrake files and with Handbrake you can queue (batch) convert. Make sure you choose a fixed framerate when converting.
