Movie Studio 17.0 Platinum Audio Hissing

Today I installed Movie Studio 17.0 Platinum. When I tried to edit an mp4 file in Movie Studio that I had created today in Zoom the audio hissed so loud that I couldn't hear the video. Then I checked my sound by watching videos in FaceBook and YouTube. Again, so much hissing that I couldn't hear anything. I am running Windows 10.

I restarted my Lenovo laptop, checked the videos in FaceBook and YouTube and there was no hissing. When I opened up Movie Studio 17.0 Platinum the audio hissing started again in Movie Studio and also in FaceBook and YouTube.

The only way to get rid of the hissing is to restart the laptop, but I still can't use Movie Studio. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

There have been a couple of threads on this. Try this one https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/static-on-playback-r-stays-until-computer-restart-on-all-programs--126246/#ca792981

If you search the forum you will find others. Along with VMS did you also download and install Magix Movie Maker?

Eric, Thanks for the fast response. I appreciate that. I also appreciate the link to the other threads, I didn't find those while searching originally. I downloaded the free version of Magix Movie Maker after your message and it works fine, I'd just rather have the SW I paid for work so I'm going to try to change the drivers (or get my computer guy to do it since I'm struggling.)
