Movie Studio 17 Just Hangs - Don't know why

I've been a long time user of Vegas Movie Studio. Recently I upgraded from 16 - Never had a problem with that.

Recently, I made two little movies and can't tell you what I did, but I click on something (moving a clip or something) and then 17 would just hang. I would have to go to Task Manager and "kill" Movie Studio. I know that 17 is new, but wondering if others are seeing this and is a fix/update on its way.

I'm running this on Windows 10 on a ThinkPad with 32GB. Unfortunately, there are no error messages. It just hangs.

How could we help you what the reason could be, not knowing what type of sourcefile(s), in which type of project and how powerfull your hardware is?
BTW for me the program does what I asked it to do with VMS 17 Platinum, which version of the program do you use?

I'm not an advanced user by any means. My laptop is a workstation and has adequate power. It worked great with 16, but 17, it hangs. Maybe not all the time, but enough to be annoying.

I'm just working with MP4 files from my Sony RX100. Nothing fancy. Add some music. The videos aren't long.

I'm glad that the 17 works for you. I wish it works for me too. Just asking if Vegas has fix underway or what. I'm not doing anything different than what I was doing in 16. That's my baseline. That is, doing the same thing in 16 with the same workstation and 17 hangs. Again, not all the time, but enough that's it's a pain.

The specs for 16 are not the same as for 17 and if you not can telt tell which version, VMS or VMS Platinum, or the projectsettings you use, than my help is impossible.

I'm running Platinum and using just the default setting - match something. Nothing advance or fancy.
