Movie Studio 9.0 Help Needed- Editing

Hi all

I have a question.... I have a video file already imported from a DVD to Vegas Studio 9.0 and I used the "make movie" feature so it is all in a nice little file. Problem is, intermittently during the video, there is a person on the far left of the screen that I do NOT want in the video. it's only about a minute and a half long...

Can someone give me detailed instructions on how to edit her out, or adjust the screen/view of the video to omit her from the video altogether? I obviously would probably have to make it again, but how can i take the existing video and edit it so that i can cut out a portion of the actual view?

The video is perfect, i just need to adjust it so she doesn't appear in the video the whole time.

thanks

The easiest way is to use the Pan/Crop tool. If you keyframe its Pan/Crop position, you can always control what does and doesn't show.

Just don't zoom in too much or you'll have a resolution issue. But for just trimming someone from the edge, you shouldn't have too many problems.

It's on the Track Header for every video track -- so you can do it track-wide.

Or you can do it for individual events by clicking on the Pan/Crop tool on the actual clip on the timeline.

Here's a tutorial on using it.
