From the specs I found online at http://pro.jvc.com/prof/attributes/tech_desc.jsp?model_id=MDL101540&feature_id=02 it appears that this deck plays both consumer DV/miniDV tapes and DVCAM pro tapes.

If you're working with HDV/miniDV tapes, you should be able to interface with Movie Studio and capture your video through the decks' FireWire/IEEE1394 connection and your video should be compatible with the program.

If you're shooting and working with the larger, professional DVCAM video, you'll likely be better off working with a professional editor like Vegas Pro.
