Movie Studio ==> DVD-Lab

I've done this before so can't believe I can't remember how to do it now. Of course it was a few months ago and I only did it once.

I captured DV from my camera. It's 1 hour 50 minutes or so and takes up about 24GB. I can easily edit this. I'd like to create a file suitable for DVD-LAB but when I go to "Make Movie" I don't seem to and option that will work. If I save for "DVD" it simply creates an AVI file similar to the input file. I can't input this file into DVD-Lab which seems to prefer MPA and MPV files (split Audio and Video).

I can' t figure out how to export to MPA/MPV or any other format that DVD-lab likes and I can't seem to import anything into DVD-Lab that I'm able to create. What step am I missing?

Save it as an MPEG2 , DVD NTSC (or pal) and when you load it into DVD Lab ket it demultiplex it into the MPA and MPV files.t

OK, and I see that DVD-Lab can accept MPG's. However, how do I use MS to create an MPG. I have the following choices:
1) Save it to your hard dirve
2) Burn it to DVD
3) Burn it to Video CD (VCD) or CD-ROM
4) Publish it to the Web
5) Save it to Sony Memory Stick media...
6) Save it to your camcorder's DV tape
7) E-Mail it
8) Create an HTML page that includes it

I know these options are meant to make things easy, but... They contain very little actual technical content. I've tried 1 and 2 but they seem to create AVI's of about the same size as the original. I need to invoke whatever option converts to MPEG-2, which I'm assuming will shrink the file to about, oh, 5GB.

Thanks, GGK

Click [Make Movie], and select "Save it to your hard drive". There are 3 drop down boxes there to select. The first one is where you want to save the clip. The 2nd presents all the options (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, AVI, etc...). Select MPEG-2. The 3rd box asks for the template - Pick DVD NTSC for North America (assuming you are there).
