Movie Studio Platinum 14 - Easy Mode vs. Power User Mode?

Hello all. I bought MSP14 when it was new, but am only now installing it on a new computer. I've used MSP13 for many years, apparently in "Easy Mode" (with the large icon buttons at the top and bottom of the screen). I'm not a power user, but what I do, I do a LOT. Easy Mode gives me everything I need, and I'm VERY accustomed to that workflow.

MSP14 comes up in Power User mode, and I can't figure out how to switch it over to a more simplified mode. Does MSP14 even have an Easy Mode?

I could be wrong as nowadays I only have VMS Plat 16 installed so cannot check. But my recollection is that VMS14 and 15 only had one mode. Power User mode has returned with VMS16 but probably very different to what was in MS13 years ago. What exactly the difference is between the modes I don't know as the Help menu appears silent on the topic. I always use Power User anyway.

The Simple Mode/Advanced Mode option in version 13 was Sony's last gasp attempt to make Movie Studio more popular by making it easier to use on a tablet rather than a desktop. It was a terrible idea IMHO, with the interface taking up way too much space. Wisely, when Magix took over the software, they went back to the more professional looking interface.

Simple Mode for VMS 13 Platinum was basically a mode to turn it into VMS 13 (non-Platinum). For a simple editing experience, VMS 16 (non-Platinum) would probably be the product you would want to purchase.

I didn’t realize that VMS13P is still installable from my “Products” area, so I was able to install it on the new computer too. That way I can take advantage of the faster computer with the workflow I know, while I pick away at learning how to do the same tasks on 14P in parallel. Best of both worlds, or something. :-)
