What are the specs of that GoPro video?

Open one of your GoPro clips in the free download MediaInfo. In MediaInfo, set View to Text and then copy the report that appears and paste it to this forum. Once we have this information we'll better be able to address your question.

Nothing wrong with the file but maybe where it is stored or your PC is totally out of order.
Which Windows is installed?

Just a thought, can you try copying the video onto the hard drive of your PC before you try to import into VMS? (It looks like you are trying to import directly from the Go Pro or SD card.)

Ken, thank you but I have tried both and what I am attempting to do on this PC workss ok on my laptop and also works fine with Vegas 11, so wondering whether it is something needing tweaked with my older PC which was built for video editing but at least five years ago may be more.

I cannot reproduce your error when importing 1080p60 Gopro Hero7 media. The only difference I see between your and my Gopro Media is that my Gopro stores 1080p60 at 30 mbps and yours at 60 mbps.
