MOVIE STUDIO PLATINUM 17 KEEPS FREEZING AND NOT RESPONDING

I have the required hrdware and process speed etc but every time I open the programme it takes about 1 inute before it freezes and is unresponsive. Then 30 seconds later it unlocks and then locks up again. I also can not adjust pan crop/edit in real time. All this sugests my PC to be underpowered but it isnt.

Intel core i7 2.30GHZ 16GB RAm 64 Bit opperating system

I have exactly the same problem with unresponsive freeze and exactly the same processor :D only no problem with pan crop/edit
