Hi all, This is my first post and want to say Hi. I narrowed down to this progam and found that for the most part putting video and audio together is quite easy. I understand that Ulead movie video 8 may have more bells and whistles as far as different compsitions you can add but thats not what I was looking for.

My question has to do with making the actual DVD as with the trial version i am using it dosent provide me with the advantages of using it. I read somewhere else here in the boards that you cannot writes to SVCD. Will i be limited to writing to dvd+r as opposed to dvd-r and that sort of situation.

I found using that other program it seemed very easy to write my program and be able to make my own determination as to the spped I would write.

With this program will i be limited to a one button touch without any preferences.

I almost never use DVDA (I've been a DVDLab user since before it came out) so I'm sure other people will have more specific information, but you shouldn't have any problems. In the worst case, you can save your files on HD and use a separate (free!) program to burn them to DVD.

For a long time Ulead's DVD Movie Factory 3.0 has been prased as a good program for authoring DVDs and yes, it will burn VCD, SVCD and both DVD-R and +R.

You can download a trial copy for 30 days; here is a link to it.

I have developed an 11 page manual for using it. If you are interested email me and I'll send it to you.
