Moving a Group of Events to the right

I used Help in Vegas 8 regarding grouping and found that Select New is grayed out under Edit. I have five tracks working with both audio and video and need to slip a jpg in the beginning for timing purposes. I want to slide everything to the right keeping them in sync. I also did a search on 'grouping events' on the Vegas Video forum and didn't find what I was looking for. Thank you for any help on this!! Bob K.

You can insert time or you can select all objects using the selection tool and move them all at the same time or you can select just the items you want and move them. If you have at least 2 events selected you can hit the G button and it will group them.

Turn on Ripple Edit, insert your JPG, then turn off Ripple Edit. Note: Ripple Edit has three modes, you want to use "All Tracks, Markers, and Regions" mode.
