MP3 Audio Encoding high pitch whine

I recently upgraded to VV4. I just noticed that when I encode an MP3 audio cut that it is inserting a high pitched whine in the audio. I haven't done mutch mp3 encoding for a while, but about a year ago I did a bucket load with vv3 and did not have this problem. I tried several different settings and have come to the conclusion that the codec is probably causing it. Renders with .wma codecs are clean. Anyone else noticing this?

Thanks,
JAB

Has anyone had any problems with this?

I am not sure what you mean. Are you inserting an MP3 file onto the time line and getting a high pitched sound?

No Steve,

It happens when rendering .mp3 audio files from .wav on the timeline. The .wav sounds fine, but the rendered .mp3 files have a high pitched whine when played back in Vegas and Windows media player. I just downloaded 4b and will test with that version to see if it is corrected. I did not see any mention of this problem in the release notes, but one can only hope!

Thanks,
