I found myself creating 100 MP3 files this weekend being ripped from CD's. I realized the only app that I had installed on my laptop to do this process was Vegas. I needed this to be a quick and painless task of selecting CD tracks and having them automatically named and extracted to their own MP3 file.
Here's what I had to do:
Use the extract audio from CD. It automatically would convert them to .WAV format files into the media pool.
I then had to put each .WAV file onto a track then do a render as .MP3, then deleted that event and re-did this process for each additional .WAV file that was created. Very time consuming and tedious for a simple .CDA to .MP3 file conversion.
Does anyone know of a better way to do this? Maybe a way to load all .Wav files into the timeline and do a "render as .MP3" for each event?
It would be good to have an option in the "Extract from CD" to convert to any of the file formats supported by Vegas. I could have then just done this all in a one step process and saved hours of time.
any thoughts?
