MP4 and Vegas Pro 9.0e

I have a camera that records in MP4 that Vegas can import, but the audio cuts out every other second. The camera only allows changing from HD to SD, and both are the same MP4 format. With VLC, I can see they are H264 MPEG4 AVC (port10)(avc1) video with MPEG AAC (mp4a) audio.

Currently I have to convert the video into a different format before I bring it into Vegas, and I need a way around this. Any suggestions?

I'm using the latest version of Vegas Pro 9 (9.0e), the latest version of QuickTime and have the k-lite codec pack installed.

DO NOT INSTALL THE CODEC PACK.

That's using a shotgun when you only need a single pellet (codec). Codec Packs are notorious for replacing the otherwise good codecs installed by your NLE.

AVC was still new when Vegas Version 9 was released and it wasn't until Version 10 that Vegas handled AVC better.

Steve is right. Get rid of the codec pack, re-boot and see if that helps. If it doesn't re-install Vegas, re-boot again and see if that helps.
