MP4 coding issue

Hi,

I have Sony Vegas 8.0 regular and I've been having issues adding .mp4 files to my timeline. The mp4 files are encoded with AAC audio and H264 video. I've installed Quicktime, when that didn't work I installed K-Lite Codec pack, and when that didn't work, I reinstalled DivX. None of these worked. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

You're pretty much on your own until you you can present a clean OS without codec packs installed. Uninstalling K-Lite doesn't restore your registry. Do post back.

So, I should wipe the K-lite codec and quicktime? Divx was already installed to support my .avi files.

No, you need a system restore to BEFORE the time the codec pack was installed, or a fresh OS. If you had searched "K-Lite" or "codec pack" on these forums first, you would see the kind of issues you may have caused yourself. Uninstalling does not do it. Best of luck.
