MP4's from Sony cam will not play in Vegas !!!

Downloaded the suggested "MJPCODECV3" to make audio import into Vegas.

As before, only the video imports.

This process has worked beautifully with other cheaper non-Sony cameras.

But i decided to spend more money on a new Sony. What a waste of money and my time!!!

I see that one of the noted problems can be "video but no audio"... but in that instance, there is no download link below the paragraph. Does this mean it is an observed problem, but no one has figured out how to make a new Sony video cam compatible with Vegas?!

I have been shooting video for TWO MONTHS, but still cannot edit anything.

The videos I have been shooting play fine in Windows Media Player.

But not the program I paid for... Vegas. I work with audio software and do editing for a living, so i am not a novice.

Do I need to locate and hire a consultant in order to hear, see and edit video shot on my Sony camera?

OK, one last time:

--What version of Quicktime is installed on your machine?

--Did you follow the suggestions to roll back your Quicktime version to 7.6.2 or earlier?

--What is your camera model?

--Can you upload a clip somewhere for us to look at?

The relevant links for "no audio in MP4 files" have been provided to you twice now, so I fail to see what you are missing in the responses to your three separate threads on exactly the same subject. May or may not help your problem, but at least you could try it and acknowledge our attempts to help by reporting back instead of blasting. We are users on this forum, just like you.

So you downloaded a video codec thinking it would solve an audio problem?
