Mpeg-1 render error - started as soon as I installed VV4c

Hi all,

I got this when I tried to render to an mpg-1.

As you can see, it's not very informative.

Anyone else had this? Any workaround?

I re-installed vv4c and then did it with a repair-install. Still no worky.

Dell Precision 450.
Dual Xeons @ 2.4gHz.
1 Gig DDR ram.
Windows XP pro.

Can you sucessfully render a short clip using the MPEG-1/NTSC Video CD template?

(Meaning, can you render MPEG-1 at all?)

Good question. I tried a template setting and it worked.

I never use those templates b/c they yield low quality video.

Here are the settings I used.

It seems that the max bps in my saved custom template are no longer in the VBR dropdown. Could that be it? I really hope not.
