Ok, I have narrowed down a problem that I have been having playing MPEG-2 that I have encoded in VV from the timeline.
They play fine on the computer that they were encoded from but when I played just the files on any other computer with appropriate codec I get horizontal lines and audio no viewable pix.
Here comes the strange part. When played on these other computer I have discovered that as the windows media player opens it will not play without lines and audio.
If I adjust the media player window with the mouse and say drag it a few pixels the picture appears and plays fine. I can repeat this as many times as I like.
Does anyone have an explanation for this and how to solve the problem?
