MPEG-2 Do I have to Buy before I get to try?

Downloded VV3 but can't work with or save DVD/MPEG-2 Files. Do I have to buy VV3 in order to try out this part of the "DEMO"? Bummer.

Ya gotta buy. It's the same Ligos encoder as in VV2. The main concept hasn't been what I was hoping for.

There's nothing more to buy. The MPEG plug-in is included with Vegas Video 3.0, you just need to register it.

The ideal MPEG-2 encoder would do what, precisely:

Post a complete, sensible list of needed features and odds are SF will implement most of your wish list.
