Mpeg-2 Help File? or just help...

That MainConcept MPEG-2 menu is pretty complex, and it differs in many ways from other MPEG-2 encoders' menus. If there's a help file somewhere, that would be convenient. If folks are able to come up with MPEG-2 settings that work with DVDit!, that would also be helpful. I think at least some people on this forum were looking forward to a snappy new MPEG-2 compressor...something more user friendly than TMPGEnc, perhaps. :-)

I have asked a similar question on the MainConcept.com forums, if anyone cares to pursue that route as well.

To generate a MPEG file for DVDit! use the DVD NTSC or DVD PAL templates (depending on whether your DVDit! project is NTSC or PAL). The template can be choosen by using the template combobox at the top of the Custom Settings dialog for the MainConcept plug-in. The MPEG plug-in only has what's this help.

For MyDVD and DVDit, make sure when you render the MPEG file, you uncheck the box on the audio tab so that audio is not included in the file. Then render the project a second time as a wav file. Select 48Kz and 16 bit. Drop both of these files on the menu in MyDVD/DVDit.
