Mpeg 2 settings and playback

I have a strange problem. I made a multimedia CDROM using MMB (media chance) and VV that plays MPEG-2 made from VV timeline. These files are edited in Canopus DVREX brought into VV for more editing and then rendered to mpeg 2. I used default setting but put the slider on to best.
The files playback fine so I tried to burn with Nero but it would fail at the end after 100% with:
no seek complete
could not perform fixation
medium not found. coaster toast.

One of these Mpegs did not have the slider on best and was straight default MPEG-2 setting. (I have the latest version of VV). It had same problem. It was not from a Canopus file.

So after a few coasters and lowering burn speeds still no luck.
I then copied the multi media files to my editing computer and tried to burn with nero and my AO-4 Pioneer. It burned with no problem but. Non of the mpegs will play. I just get sound and vertical color lines.

I then tried to play off the timeline of that computer and had the same problems.

The files play fine on my VV editing computer. The burned CD plays close to perfect less some audio sync issue on that computer. (This I gather is a CD playback speed problem).

To sum up: no Mpeg files play correctly on other editing computer that were made from my VV computer.
All files play fine from my VV computer less some audio sync when played from burnt CD multimedi program.
Both computers have DVD playback codecs of plenty.
All of this is pretty strange. Anybody have an idea what is the rub here?

Cheers,
W
