Mpeg Cost?

Just downloaded VF 2.0c and tried to burn a CD
Sonic Foundary asked me to buy the codec.

Is that the procedure? or should I be receiving it
with the purchase of the software.

VF does not come with the MPEG plugin. It's $30 from SOFO. VegasVideo3 does come with it. It is part of the code of VF, but has to be unlocked by an authorization code. So you pay SOFO $30 for a number.

More specifically, the MPEG2 plugin is an extra $30 (standard version). The MPEG1 plugin is included with VF but still needs to be registered when you first use it. There is no charge for registering the MPEG1 plugin.
