MPEG in PwerPoint 2000

I have just been looking through the Forum database on the subject of MPEG clips for PowerPoint 2000. I have the same problem, that is, clips renderd to MPEG in Vegas will not run in PowerPoint 2000. They run in Media player 7 OK but not in PowerPoint. WMV rendered in Vegas run OK.

Was there any resolution to this problem?

I have downloaded the latest MP.

MPEG-2 files require a MPEG-2 decoder to be installed on the computer. No decoder, no MPEG-2 playback.

.WM is your best bet for Powerpoint.

Thanks,

I also come to the conclusion that the problem was with my computer or PowerPoint 2ooo. I am pleased about your WMV recommendation. WMV are running OK however, some clients keep asking for MPEG.

are you pleased with the video quality of the .wmv files in ppt2k? Even with best quality, and 2-pass encoding, I still find the quality poor. I would appreciate any suggestions on a quality mpeg-2 decoder which will play back 720x480 video in ppt2k.
