MPEG or AVI to MyDVD?

Little confused by the MS manual stating that before you can use MyDVD to burn the disc you must have your file saved as an AVI file after which you can import into MyDVD (pg 104). Thought that using MS to render as an MPEG was correct. Oh well, in the middle of burning one now so will learn soon enough if it worked.

Either way works. If you render to MPEG first MyDVD will not have to transcode the video, but it does transcode the audio to another format.
