Mpeg Troubles in Vegas 4.0

I originally had Vegas 3.0, and had the Mpeg plug-in registered and it worked perfectly. When I upgraded to Vegas 4.0 I started to have some Mpeg problems.
When I want to render into the Mpeg format I can't make my own custom sizes.
When I click on the custom button nothing happens. But I can render as the default templates, such as VCD,SVCD, and etc. I was wondering if anybody else is experiencing this problem, and if they have any solutions.

Thanks!

I had what may be a similar problem when I first used Vegas 4.0. I was not able to render in MPEG2 format or make my own custom sizes. I was advised to call customer service (first 60 days free), did, and they walked me through a procedure to "unlock" the MPEG2 and it has worked great since.

I actually had not a chance to use MPEG2 yet, but after reading your post, I decided to give it a try. Well... I could render but the outcome was all horrid. Is this what you have experienced before, or you simply couldn't render at all? Let me know.

Thanks

No I can reder, but I just can't make my own custom frame sizes.

I have noticed this as well. It looks like there are horizontal lines in the video.
It is very bad. Avi and all other formats look great. Any ideas?
