MPEG2->DVD without recoding?

I just purchased a new Panasonic SV-AV100 video camera. It stores video in MPEG2 files at 720x408 (not 480).

Is there anyway to use DVD Architect/Sony Movie Studio to create movies with these videos without recoding every clip?

With Nero Vision Express, I can have my output video size match my video clips at 720x408, and select to not recode if the resolution doesn't change.

In Vegas Studio, I can set properties for the movie and change it to the settings for the original clips 720x408. Of course it still recodes.

I tried just adding an MPG clip to Architect, but It seems like the only template in Architect are for 720x480. When I click to burn a DVD it recodes the entire thing.

i'm not an expert but i thought that a dvd was required to be 720x480. no exceptions.

In Nero vision Express I could leave it as 720x408. Other people that use this Panasonic camera mention using ulead moviefactory and use 720x408 so that the software doesn't re-render or recode the movie.

Anyone know if this is any different in the new 6.0 version?

If I just want to take MPEG2 directly from my Panasonic SD card camera, can I burn it to DVD using DVD Architect without recoding?

In the 4.0 version, it seemed this wasn't an option.
