mpg rendering only one core?

I finally upgraded to a multi-core machine and when I render MPG2 films for DVD it looks like only one core is working.

Is there a multi-core option I should be considering? At the moment I'm encoding HDV timelines to SD-DVD MPG2 files.

i think i've been rendering mpeg's with multicore. they go pretty darn fast & at least 80%cpu usage. but some FX only use one core & slow it down.

Ah it might be the FX. I'm using Magic Bullet on everything.
