MPG Video size wrong

Seattle Bob wrote on 2/12/2012, 1:49 AM
When I create an MPG video with a size of 640 x 480 it actually comes out as 360 x 270, even though the finished file shows as 640 x 480 in both the file properties and in the information bar on the bottom of the Windows 7 folder containing it. Media Player 12 is showing it at 100%.

Anyone have any ideas what the discrepancy is?

Sorry, meant to say I'm trying to create a file at 720 x 480...

How do you know it's 360x270?

Locate the MPG file in Vegas' explorer window and click on it. At the bottom of the window you'll see the file's particulars. What does it say there for the size?

Vegas shows the size as 720 x 480. There must be some issue with Media Player. I got the 360x270 size by doing a screen capture of Media Player.

In Media Player try pressing Alt-2, which should size the screen to 100%.

As I mentioned in my original post, Media Player is set at 100%, hence my confusion...
