MS13 audio plugins

Is there somewhere I can find a guide to the default audio plugins that come with MS13--what each of them is meant to do, with hints on what adjustments in wach will have what effect? The names of most of them mean nothing to me.

Also, I haven't found a way to preview audio while the plugin chain window is open. I would like to hear the effect as I adjust settings, but normal playback or scrubbing of the timeline seems to play the raw track without the VST plugin effects that I am trying to apply. Only plays it with effects after I close the plugin window. This makes adjusting audio effects very tedious. I assume I'm doing something wrong. Can someone enlighten me?

One way would be to mark a loop region and start playback with looping turned on. Then as you add and remove audio effects and adjust their settings you'll dynamically hear the changes.

Also, something I've noticed, is that many of the audio effects have default settings which only apply a minimal amount of the effect. Depending on the effect and original audio, you many need to change some of the settings to make each effect noticeable.
