MS17: Crash - when click an "Render as..."

When I click on "Render as" or "Save to hard drive" Vegas Movie Studio Crashes, the Error Report Window appears and thats it.

I tried a lot of things. Deinstallation, cleanup of all folders , reinstallation.

Then complete fresh Windows installation and fresh Vegas Movie Studio 17 installation

Runinng in several compatibility modes, with / withou GPU

Behaviour is alway the same.

History: I had Vegas Movie Studio 15 installation before, upgraded to Vegas Movie Studio 17. Worked. Deinstalled V15.

Then Vegas Movie Studio 17 crashed all the time. It is not really clear if there was a connection (maybe a parallel windows update?) , whatever - I tried to Install V15 again, did not help (but interestingly V15 crashed the same way now) , I reinstalled V17 again, no solution. Then I did it the hard way with a fresh Windows Installation [1909], but it did not help....

Any Ideas ? Suggestions?

Oh great...

I deinstalled the NVIDIA GeForce graphic driver (which was up to date) and now Vegas Movie Studio does not crash.

I have to figure out which version worked and which introduced the side effect.

What Nvidia graphics card do you have? And did you try disabling GPU acceleration in Preferences?
