I am using an OCHCI 1394 card with PAL camcorder. I have
VegasVideo 2.0b

Depending on whether I use the MSDV.SYS driver installed by
DirectX 8.0, the version installed by vidcap2.0b.exe or use
the original Win 98 SE version I get different results.

For example:-

MSDV.SYS 4.10.2222
Preview on external monitor works great
SF Vidcap does not play back to camera properly. (Jumps
frames)

MSDV.SYS 4.10.2226.400
Preview on external monitor doesn't work (though Vegas says
device is connected and available)
SF Vidcap captures and plays back faultlessly.

After poking around in the cab files for Vegas and Vidcap I
have two different extmondrv.dll files, they both say that
they are Version 1.0 (Build 162), however one is 580k the
other is 576k.

If you can tell me what combination of Direct X
files/versions will let me Preview on External Monitor AND
print to tape with Vidcap, I will be quite happy to
manually configure my system.
