MSP 12: Importing mjpeg not working with QT 7.7

Hi,

I have Sony Movie Studio Platinum 12.0 (64-bit) running. Importing MJPEG files from my digital camera (.MOV files) does not work with Quicktime 7.7 (codec error, "Quicktime not installed", etc.). When I remove QT 7.7 and install version 7.6, it works again.

Is this a known bug? If not, is there a way to submit bugs?

Quicktime 7.7 does not work with a lot of installations, and yes, there is a long and well documented history. The best advice is to disable automatic QT updates for your editing computer.

Here is exactly what will happen: Sony will get it working in their next Vegas release, and it will be broken again in QT's next "Security Fix," exactly two months later. You can set your watch by it.
