Muliple instances of Movie studio 17 running after exiting program.

It seems that after exiting Movie Studio 17 Platinum , it still runs in the background. If you re open movie studio again it creates another instance running in the background. Pretty soon you can have a lot of instances running in the background. Exiting the program doesn't seem to terminate the program.

@Jeff-Rejent, we have had one other report of this, but have not been able to reproduce this problem in-house. Could you provide to us what version of Windows 10 you are using along with the GPUs and drivers versions installed for them?

@Jeff-Rejent If your only GPU is Intel QSV try switching off this option in the General Preferences tab to see if it makes any difference.

Yes, that worked. Specs: Windows 10 Home current build, Intel i3 4030U, Intel HD 4400 integrated graphics. Graphics driver 20.19.15.4642, old driver because Lenovo has never updated it since 2018. Thanks for the fix.

You can download latest driver directly from Intel, but probably not necessary since your issue is fixed:

There is a know issues with that series of Intel GPU. Unfortunately it is driver related and there are no drivers which will fix the problem. EricLNZ's solution is the right thing to do to avoid this right now as this machine is below recommend specs for VMS 17.

Bummer, I'll just stick with PowerDirector 18. PowerDirector runs smoothly but has less features. Really wanted to learn Vegas.
